Little Rocky Lodge was originally built some 50 years ago, shortly after the lake was originally impounded. The all brick cabins were built to last and they have stood the test of time remarkably well.  The property was purchased in 1989 by Chris & Lesli Shafer who began the process of renovation, improvements and landscaping that has resulted in the creation of one of the  cleanest and most inviting lodge properties on Lake Whitney. We have many satisfied customers who return year after year to rest and relax in our clean, comfortable lake side cabins. We have been featured as a family outdoor destination in Texas Fish & Game magazine in 2003, Field & Stream in May 2004 and many other popular publications. We are small in comparison to some of the lodges on the lake with a total of 3 single rooms that sleep 2, 5 doubles that sleep 4 and one family house that sleeps 10 our total capacity is 36 people. Our place is quiet, peaceful and well kept and we cultivate clientele that help keep it that way. We have just  what you need for a  relaxing get away from the city. Boat ramp, boat slips, horse shoes, large lake view swimming pool with a covered patio, covered picnic areas, lots of bank for fishing and a  shallow water  bank for the kids to play in the lake or for beaching a personal watercraft. Our cabins are very tastefully decorated, very clean, modern and up to date with 20 inch color TV's and DVD players added in 2004 for your enjoyment as well as CORDLOCK Rod Racks to safely and securely store your rods & reels.
