Do you accept pets?
Yes, we accept dogs and cats in our cabins. We ask that they not be left
unattended in the cabins and that they be on a leash or other restraint
on the property. A $10/day per pet fee will be assessed. Any damages
caused by the pets will naturally be the responsibility of the guest.
Note - no pets are allowed in our new Lakeview Loft! We reserve the
right to relocate guests with pets to certain specific cabins, and to
limit the number of pets allowed in a given cabin.
Do you have a boat ramp and slips?
Yes, we have a paved boat ramp and a dock with ample boat
parking for our guests. Their use is free and reserved only for our guests.
Do you provide bed sheets?
All beds in all cabins are fully made with sheets, blankets and
comforter. We do not provide daily maid service.
Do you provide towels?
Yes, we will provide towels and washcloths. We
suggest that you bring your own towels for pool and beach use.
Are your cabins non-smoking?
All of our cabins, the loft, as well as our restaurant are non-smoking. No
exceptions. You may smoke outside your cabins and at the pool, as well
as anywhere else outdoor on the grounds.
Do you have TV in the cabins?
All cabins have color TVs that are at least 20". All are hooked
up to DirecTv and XM satellite radio service at no extra charge. You will receive a
wide array of channels (over 100) including all Dallas local channels,
The Weather Channel, ESPN, and more than 60 music channels. We also have
an extensive DVD collection at the office to use with your in room DVD
player.
Is there Internet Access on Site?
Wireless Internet is available within about 100 feet of our
office, which includes the restaurant, pool deck, and several RV spots.
You are welcome to sit in the restaurant and use your laptop.
Will my cellphone work at Lake Whitney?
We notice that Cingular/ATT work
normally, while most others go to extended roaming. We offer a phone in
our office for our guests to use free of charge to call anywhere in
North America.
Is there a beach area?
While not the
traditional sandy beach, we do have about 70 yards of beach suitable for
sitting out in your lounge chair to soak up the rays and to allow the
kids to wade into the water.
Are there places to fish at the Lodge?
Our guests can fish from the beach area, from our cliffs, or
from our deepwater dock.
When is check in and check-out?
Normal check-in is 2p.m. Call the day before if you are
interested in early arrival. We may allow you to come a few hours early
if your cabin is not rented the night before. Check-out is at 11a.m.
