In early 2005, Little Rocky Lodge was
purchased by Laddy Tresl and Tom Force. Together with our
families our goal has been to transform a world renown fishing
lodge into a perfect family getaway for guests of all
interests. With an emphasis on ensuring our guests
have fun during their stay, we embarked on several
projects immediately.
- Updated all cabins with a design consultant from Dallas - to give a
modern, themed look to each cabin. Updated all furnishings. We
installed DirecTV in all cabins so you don't have to miss your
favorite show or game while you are with us - and it helps keep
the kids occupied during a rainy day.
- Constructed a restaurant, many private decks, gameroom and added a hot
tub. We want our guests of all ages to have a variety of things
to do.
- Added a pontoon boat rental service on site.
- Internet service is available in and around our main building
When we started to sell out regularly, we decided to add the 8
person Lakeview Loft in April 2006. Although we regularly sell
out with returning guests year after year, we still continue to
add features and services to make Little Rocky Lodge and Resort
THE place to be on Lake Whitney.You
will find that we encourage our guests to relax and have a great
time. We don't encumber our guests with a lot of rules. We have
full time RV guests and a sold out lodge most of the summer, and
we all manage to have a great time together. Our guests vote
with their wallets - and that is why you see the same groups
back here year after year. We would love to add YOU to our list
of repeat guests. We work hard to build that business every day.

Laddy is the onsite operations
manager in charge of day to day operations at the Lodge.
Born in Brno, in the Czech Republic, Laddy played many years of
professional ice hockey before settling in the town of West, Tx.
Regulars know him as "that nice guy" on the phone or at the
desk. We refer to him as our "Ambassador of Fun". |
Tom runs the administrative
functions of the Lodge and its LLC. A native New Yorker who has
lived in the Dallas area since 1993, Tom runs all advertising,
marketing, websites, and other support functions.
His wife Peggy is an interior designer whose company has
overseen the modernization of the Lodge. |
