From the North (Dallas, Ft Worth, via I-35): Just south of the
convergence of I 35E and I-35W is exit 370 for Hillsboro. Exit and head
right (west) on Hwy 77 into downtown Hillsboro. Turn right at the second
light in the town square (Hwy 22 going west) and follow to the Whitney
Dam....after the
dam.....
1. OBSERVE THE
45 MPH
Speed Limit! The Laguna Park Police Department does some fishing
of its own at the west end of the dam and we don't want you to be on
their hook!!
2. After passing the flashing
yellow light at the intersection of Hwy 22 and Hwy 56, the Hwy goes from
4 lanes to 2 lanes. You will also see a speed limit 55 sign at that
point.
3. On the South side of the
road you will see a large billboard (currently blank). The exit for Rd
1806 is just across the street from that sign, just a few
yards down.
4. As you rise
over the hill (slow down, you are almost there), on your
right hand side you will see a building and sign that
say "Talk of the Town" and just beyond that is a small restaurant with
"Corral" on the front. Your right turn is just in
front of that restaurant. Hopefully you will see our
sign (pictured on the right) as you come to the top of
the hill as well.... (if you get all the
way to the Cliffview sign you have gone too far) |
